Chakras are said to be circular colored energy fields within our bodies. When unblocked, the flow of energy within our bodies becomes unimpeded, leading to better health and vitality. The chakras can be accessed and enhanced via reflection and meditation. It is through the process of meditation that I have envisioned this embroidery series COLOR CODES 2. I have used the traditional quilting design of the crazy quilt to reflect the supposed crystal nature of the chakras.
The location of the first chakra or root chakra, MULADHARA is at the base of our spine. Connected to the element of earth meditation on this chakra will bring stability. Framed embroidery on felt. 10" x 10" x 2"
